Vanner Attends Ambulance Manufacturers Division (AMD) Meeting and Associate Member Night Reception

Ambulance Manufacturers Division logoVanner is proud to be an active member of the Ambulance Manufacturers Division (an NTEA affiliate) – a group of OEMs and associate members who are responsible for improving ambulance quality and safety. As the single manufacturer of inverters to attend AMD meetings, we enjoyed the success of last week’s event in Tampa.

Presentations touched on all things ambulance related and included speakers from major vehicle manufacturers including Ford, General Motors, Freightliner and Navistar. It is absolutely amazing to see the amount of time and effort spent to make ambulances safer, including occupant and patient safety, as well as visibility and conspicuity. This particular meeting still had much debate about the proposed new NFPA standards which could take over for the K Spec.

The evening before the meetings, we enjoyed helping to organize the Associate Member Night Reception (AMNR). This year, 13 associate members displayed their newest items for OEMs.

The reception gave non-voting, associate members the opportunity to talk one-on-one with CEOs, engineers and others from various OEMs they might not normally get the opportunity to meet. Vanner would like to thank the many CEOs, presidents, and general managers from all the manufacturers who attended. The reception could also not have happened without the support of some of AMD’s associate members, who split the cost.  A BIG thank you goes out to the following associate members for helping to make AMNR a success:
